Rhen + Chalis | a sweet country engagement

There are days in your life when you feel so young…and then there are day when you think, damn, am I really 30?!?! Well yesterday was one of those days when I though the latter. I had the wonderful pleasure to take engagement pictures for my best friends little brother Rhen ad his lovely fiance Chalis. We lived next to Rhen and his family while I was in high school and my earliest memory of Rhen was him barreling down our long dirt driveway in his moms mini van. He was six at the time. See why I am all of a sudden feeling very old. I can’t believe he is getting married and I feel so honored to be able to spend their special day with them. Congrats my friend!

Gorgeous work as usual. Cousin of the groom here and I can’t wait for this wedding either. I still remember Rhen roping a PVC calf in his diaper! Love that kid and am so happy for him and Chalis

Spring Photography Classes Announced

Hey friends. I am so excited to be teaching more Photography Classes in Utah this spring. Basic Photography I is all about learning to use your SLR camera. We will be learning how to shoot your camera in manual mode, understanding light, nailing your exposure and basic composition. I strongly believe that the best way to learn is to shoot your heart out and get your work critiqued. So we will have a bunch of that too! The last class will be a shooting field trip. Fully adjustable digital or film SLR camera is required.

Don’t let the “Basics” part of the class name fool you. If you are still not nailing your exposure in manual mode 100% of the time, you will learn something in this class! I absolutely love the art of photography and have a true passion for teaching others about it. I hope you will join me for this fun filled class. I am limiting this class to around 10 people. If you would like to sign up please email me info@tonyapeterson.com or fill out the form below and I will send you information on how to sign up. Hope to see you soon!

xoxo

Turning 30 + Irish Inspiration Feature!

I turned the big 30 today. I would like to say I feel much older than I did yesterday, but I feel about the same. Old. I think maybe it is because I am 6 months pregnant, and that will make anyone feel a bit older than they really are! I can’t wait until July. Being pregnant isn’t my favorite. Anyways onto photography news! I am so excited to finally get to share this beautiful Irish Inspired wedding shoot with you. The shoot was been featured on The Sweetest Occasion this morning and I am so thrilled!

The shoot and florals were designed by my dear friend Kimberly from Petal Pixie. She was inspired by the feelings Ireland evokes – cozy wool sweaters, mysterious rock cliffs, rustic terrain, and simple family gatherings. I think she did a wonderful job, and it was a pleasure photographing it for her. All of the vendors we worked with on this shoot are top notch!

The lovely paper products were designed by Brandi from Alexis June Creative. I love working with her.

Hair & makeup was done by the uber talented Janell of Versa Artistry
