Allison is such a sweet and beautiful senior with the most AMAZING red hair! Not to mention she was so stylish. She had the cutest jewelry to go with all of her outfits. I had so much fun getting to know her and I love that she wanted to show some of the things that were important to her like piano, church and that she wants to be a teacher! I love the way her pictures turned out! xoxo.

Dexter NM Wedding Photographer | Josh and Shannon

I gave a little preview f Josh and Shannon’s wedding last week and here is the full post. Like I said before, I had the wonderful pleasure to shoot this wedding with my very dear friend Stacy. The wind blew like a hurricane just as the bridal party started down the aisle but it didn’t matter to Shannon and Josh. The ceremony was beautiful and the weather finally cooperated. Beautiful Outdoor Wedding in Dexter, NM

Yesterday I had the great pleasure to shoot a wedding with my sweet friend Stacy Berry in Dexter, NM. We have so much fun shooting together and last night was no exception. The light was so beautiful last night and they had some awesome vintage cars and trucks at the wedding that we had fun playing with. This is just a little sneak peek of what is to come.

the importance of networking

For quite some time I have had the fiery beast of jealousy whipping me because I do not live in Southern California. I am always reading on SoCal photographer’s blogs about the parties and lunches they are going to and what an amazing network of friends they have. I have wanted that for so long and finally someone kick me in the butt to do something about it, and that someone was Becker! He was doing one of his online chats for the [b]school and I had voiced my frustration about not having a strong network of friends and he told me to just take a chance and set a date and hold a meeting. So that is exactly what I did. I had a few people who turned me down and who ignored my emails but that is ok. We had a great group on monday who are now great friends!

Thank you so much ladies for letting me talk your ear off. I really loved hanging out with you and I can’t wait for our next meeting!!!

-Melissa is the newest of newbies but she has an intense passion for photography that will make her successful in her business. She is moving back to Laredo, TX in a few months and we are so sad. We are going to try and get her a website asap!

-Christy Penn has been doing photography for about 4 years and is a great wedding photographer. She also has an amazing dream job of being Scott Bourne’s travel assistant. Sign me up for that job!!!
